Wait until she she puts a bar of ivory soap into the microwave, I was very surprised to see that what’s inside after 2 minutes doesn’t resemble a bar of soap at all. And this is just one of the many clever science experiments this video demonstrates in detail. They don’t require any strange ingredients and kids will absolutely love them. Experimenting, they can learn interesting facts that will make their minds wonder about the great power of science. Keep in mind that for these experiments you will need a few simple ingredients that you probably already around your house. And the best thing of it all? All of them are safe to make at home. I can’t wait to try the egg one, it’s so strangely satisfying to see it bounce like that. Will you give any of these a try?
Watching this video brought a lot of memories about science experiments that I tried as a kid at home with my dad. There was one in particular that I will never be able to forget because of how crazy it was and how unexpected everything turned out. The experiment required to put two onions inside a bowl with water. The next step was to make the water boil while the onions were inside. While the water was boiling, the experiment required you to add salt and vinegar to the water in order to achieve the desired result. What’s really funny about the whole ordeal is that I can’t remember what the experiment was trying to demonstrate, I just remember that the onions were supposed to change color from their characteristic transparent/white to bright red. In the end, the experiment went very wrong.
Apparently my mother had been using the empty vinegar bottle to store ammonia. We had no idea about this when we started the experiment and we used the ammonia believing it was vinegar. There was a very strong smell that made us scratch our heads for a moment but after a while we continued with the other steps and forgot about it. It was when we poured the ammonia in the water with the fire that we noticed something was very wrong. The reaction was too crazy and it scared my dad and me, we ran as fast as we could to escape the huge flame of fire. There was this very bright orange color coming from the fire, something I had never seen before in my life. The lesson here is to make sure that you follow all the steps properly and that you have the right ingredients before starting the experiment.
